As of August 1, Binkley Apples has been renamed Blue Mountain Fruit Company.  The rebranding is part of the evolution of the Botden family’s business plan.

“Since 2013, we have been making major investments in orchard expansion, packing plant upgrades, purchase of Blue Water storage facility and growth of the Red Prince variety,” says Ken Lyons, director of sales and marketing. “While the job is far from done, we feel a need to better reflect the current direction of the company with the leadership from the Botden family.”

Lyons says the new name and logo reflect the caring hands that work with nature in a sustainably grown orchard to produce quality fruit.

Based in the Town of Blue Mountain, in Ontario’s Georgian Bay area, the packer is currently upgrading with new computer equipment and loading systems for the start of harvest in mid-September. Look for a new website soon.

Botden Orchards Ltd. remains a separate legal entity.
