The Chilean Blueberry Committee-ASOEX has announced that exports of fresh blueberries will achieve a new record of 115,000 tons in the 2019-2020 season. That figure is up four per cent from the previous season. About 70 per cent of those exports are destined for North America.

New plantations of about 2,500 hectares are responsible for the increase. Chile has 18,374 hectares in production, concentrated mostly in the Maule, Ñuble and Biobio regions.
