A partnership between DelFrescoPure and CubicFarms has resulted in new greenhouse product they call the LivingCube.  In a company news release, CubicFarms describe it as a system of automated vertical growing machines that continuously produce lettuce, basil and microgreens year-round.

The LivingCube has mechanized growing, germination and irrigation machines inside proprietary insulated growing chambers. They are individually climate-controlled to optimize each crop’s environment, and are all connected to an enclosed, climatized common work area.

The company says the result is a complete, stand-alone growing system which brings locally grown produce to customers year-round, in large quantities.

Cubic Farms is an ag tech and vertical farming technology company.  They cultivate lettuce, basil and microgreens at their facility in Pitt Meadows, B.C. and are partnering with other farmers internationally.

DelFrescoPure grows a wide range of greenhouse fruits and vegetables in Kingsville, Ont.  They are a family-owned business, in operation for more than 50 years.
