The label for Malathion 85E has been amended for berry crops

The label for Malathion 85E has been amended via User Requested Minor Use Label Expansion (URMULE) for bushberries including blueberries and haskaps (Crop Subgroup 13-07B), caneberries including raspberries and blackberries (Crop Subgroup 13-07A), low-growing berries including strawberries (Crop Subgroup 13-07G) and sweet and tart cherries.

The increased use rate changes the level of control for Malathion 85E from suppression to control.  The Restricted Entry Intervals (REI) and Pre-harvest Intervals (PHI) remain the same.

Veltyma fungicide registered for potatoes

BASF Canada has received registration for a fungicide with new active ingredient Revysol for broad spectrum control against foliar diseases such as early blight, black dot and brown spot in potatoes.  It will be available for the 2022 growing season. 

UPL to partner with Cohort Wholesale

Health Canada pauses decision on glyphosate

Federal ministers of health, agriculture and agri-food, environment and climate change have paused any proposed increases to Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) including for glyphosate. There will be no increases to MRLs until at least spring 2022.
