National food policy survey extended

There is still time to provide feedback on what Canada’s first food policy should look like, thanks to the federal government extending the online survey and comment period to August 31.

“A strong response from across the country has prompted Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister, Lawrence MacAulay, to encourage even more citizens to have their say,” the statement issued by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada reads.

To date AAFC says that over 22,000 Canadians have participated since the May 29th release. Feedback from the survey will be compiled in a “What We Heard Report” to be published before the end of the year.
