Scheer's shadow cabinet

Conservative Party of Canada leader Andrew Scheer revealed his new shadow cabinet on August 30th.

 

MP Luc Berthold representing the riding of Megantic-L’Erable, Quebec and associate MP John Barlow from Foothills, Alberta will manage the agriculture and food file, while Dean Allison from Niagara West, Ontario will take over for international trade.

 

Gerry Ritz who announced on August 31st that he is leaving politics had been international trade critic. Ritz has been the MP for Battlefords-Lloydminster, Saskatchewan for 20 years, making him one of the longest serving Conservative members of Parliament.

 

Lisa Raitt from Milton, Ontario remains deputy leader and the transportation portfolio stays with Kelly Black from Carlton Trail-Eagle Creek, Saskatchewan.
