The next intake has been announced for Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP) funding applications for Ontario farmers as well as plant supply chain partners, under the Other Business – Plant Health stream (e.g., seed treatment facilities, grain elevator operators, seed storage facility operators, transport providers, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, custom applicators, packers, seed retailers).
According to program coordinator, Barbara Caswell, applications will be accepted from January 8, 2020, 12:00 am to January 29, 2020, 5:00 pm.
Project category guidelines are subject to change and will be available once finalized in December 2019. For more details, contact: firstname.lastname@example.org or 1-800-265-9751.
Projects supported under this intake are expected to boost innovation, market development, productivity and the use of best management farming practices. Some examples of these projects might include planting over-wintering cover crops to improve soil health and reduce soil erosion losses, actions that help prevent pest damage at greenhouse operations, or developing a product that will open new markets or expand sales for farm businesses.
