The Grower’s “Fresh News” e-newsletter is three years old! And what better time to celebrate its success than to welcome Robyn Meerveld as assistant editor. She will be responsible for developing editorial content, posting stories on a daily basis to the website at www.thegrower.org with a curated roundup every Monday morning.

Robyn Meerveld has three decades of experience communicating about agriculture and the life sciences. Her writing and editing expertise has been valued over the years in roles with the University of Guelph’s Office of Research and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). Her roles have included the editorship of OMAFRA’s former 32-page quarterly, Highlights of Agricultural Research magazine. She has also worked in OMAFRA’s Research and Innovation Branch, reviewing research proposals for funding, writing briefing notes and speeches. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Guelph.

“I warmly welcome Robyn to The Grower team,” says Karen Davidson, editor. “Along with Carlie Melara, print + digital advertising sales, together we bring a deep knowledge of agriculture and specifically, horticulture, to our loyal readership.”
