The Ontario Greenhouse Growers (OGVG) announced that Joe Sbrocchi will move into the general manager role, effective Sept. 18th, 2017. Sbrocchi is coming from Mastronardi Produce Ltd., located in Kingsville, Ont., where he has acted as the vice president of business development and strategy since 2010.
According to an OGVG press release, Sbrocchi has been involved in the greenhouse sector for the past eight years. Prior to that, he has held several management roles with national retailers including, Sobeys and Walmart.
“We are pleased to have a quality leader join the OGVG at a point where his experience, skills and leadership can significantly support our sector,” Geroge Gilvesy OGVG chair said in a press release.
Sbrocchi succeeds Rick Seguin who was appointed general manager in September 2015 and left the role in April 2017. Paul Glenney will continue to serve as the acting general manager until Sbrocchi officially takes the helm.
