New PEI ag minister

Robert Henderson

Prince Edward Island welcomes a new agriculture and fisheries minister, Robert Henderson.  Most importantly to farmers, he is a former potato, blueberry and beef producer from Freeland.

Most recently, he served the provincial government as minister of health and wellness. He has been an MLA for the riding of O’Leary-Inverness since 2007. In a decade of elected office, he’s served as chair of several committees including the standing committee of agriculture and fisheries.

Henderson replaces Alan McIsaac who has decided not to run in the October 2019 provincial election.
