When the New York Stock Exchange opens on Monday, June 3, a new agricultural company will be on the listing: Corteva Agriscience under the ticker symbol CTVA.
Corteva – pronounced with a soft ‘e’ – is the spinoff of parent company DowDuPont. Jim Collins, CEO, shared some of the statistics at an investors’ day earlier this spring.
Product portfolio: Seeds – 56%; Crop protection – 44%
Pro forma net sales: 2019 estimate is $14.3 billion
Changes since merger: 2017 headcount was 25,000; 2019 headcount is 21,000
Changes in R & D sites: 233 in 2017; 163 in 2019
