There’s a new name for a popular horticultural event in British Columbia. The Regenerative Agriculture and Growers’ Short Course will be held in conjunction with the 2023 Pacific Agricultural Show January from January 26-28. The name change reflects the BC ag ministry’s mandate to support agritech sector growth and regenerative agriculture.

As in previous years, the BC Ministry of Agriculture & Food, in partnership with the Lower Mainland Horticultural Improvement Association (LMHIA), will deliver the event at the Tradex in Abbotsford. The ministry has provided LMHIA with $25,000 to continue its role in providing input into conference topics, promoting the conference to horticultural producers and managing conference registration. The ministry will also cover costs of the venue,  audio-visual coordination, speaker costs, catering, and advertisement of the show through a third-party event planner.

Each year, Ministry staff and the LMHIA board of directors identify pertinent topics for each individual commodity session to ensure content relevance.

Registration fees will be $15, a significantly reduced cost to those attending.
