Canada’s leading agricultural writers, photographers and communications professionals were honoured at the Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation (CFWF) Awards Banquet on September 19 in London, Ont.

The annual awards recognize outstanding work in agricultural journalism and communications, with gold, silver and bronze recipients selected by judges from across Canada.

The Grower’s editor Karen Davidson won silver in two categories:  Technical Reporting for “AI weeds in the blink of an eye” and Current Affairs Feature for “Trump’s tariffs: a hot potato for Canadian growers.” The Production Photograph silver award went to The Grower’s freelance photographer Glenn Lowson for “Greenhouse workers.” The People Photograph bronze award went to The Grower’s freelance photographer Paul Novosad for Shane Singh and family.

Thanks to all the growers who shared their time and farms to make these stories a reality.
