Minimum wage rates to rise in four provinces

Manitoba and three Atlantic provinces – Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland – are set to raise minimum wage rates on April 1, 2023.
Manitoba and three Atlantic provinces – Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland – are set to raise minimum wage rates on April 1, 2023.

The minimum wage rate for federal employees is set to rise to $16.65 per hour as of April 1, 2023.

 

Manitoba’s rate will rise to $14.15 per hour and then again on October 1 to $15.00.

 

Both Nova Scotia and Newfoundland will see their rates rise to $14.50 per hour.

 

New Brunswick’s rate will rise to $14.75 per hour
