Ontario Agriculture Week is an annual opportunity to celebrate the bounty of food and dedication of growers in the week leading up to Thanksgiving.

There are many ways to celebrate Ontario Agriculture Week October 3-9 this year. Farm & Food Care Ontario (FFCO) suggests some of ways you can join in:

-  Choose Ontario-grown when you shop; locally grown food isn’t just available at farmers’ markets and farm stands. You can find Ontario fruit and vegetables, eggs, dairy, meat and processed food items in your local grocery stores.

-  The Ontario Federation of Agriculture and FFCO will be hosting four Source Local Food Fest pop-up free lunch events in Thunder Bay, London, Ottawa and Halton.

-  FFCO will host its third Breakfast from the Farm event of 2022 at the Milton Fairgrounds, October 8th, 2022 from 8 a.m. to noon.

If an in-person event isn't close by, you can also commemorate Ontario Agriculture Week online using social media:  #OntAgWeek or #SourceLocal

Finally, FFCO will partner with AgScape to host three Virtual Food & Farm field trips to bring the farm to classrooms and homes across the province.
