Effective September 1, 2025, the annual program fee for CanadaGAP program participants will be increasing for all certification options. The Board of Directors has determined that a reset to fees is required to reflect the rising cost of delivering the program.
In addition to covering increased operating expenses, the fees will provide resourcing for necessary IT upgrades, adequate staffing levels, performance monitoring of certification bodies and auditors, maintenance of recognition by the Canadian Government and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), and continued support for the four-year audit cycle, which includes random audits and self-assessment reviews. With this increase in 2025, the Board does not anticipate further fee increases until at least 2027.
The new fee will be reflected the next time program participants are invoiced by CanadaGAP on the anniversary of their enrolment.
Below is the fee schedule indicating the current annual program fee and the increased fee effective September 1, 2025, in Canadian dollars (CAD).. Please note that the fee schedule below does not include the additional $50 charge collected and remitted to the Fruit and Vegetable Growers of Canada.
