The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) is relaunching its online courses, an essential resource to support and promote ongoing education in farm safety.
 

To ensure the most up-to-date safety information and resources are available help protect farmers, farm workers, and farm families, CASA recently undertook a review of its online courses and updated content where necessary. The refreshed courses provide the latest training on a variety of topics, including Farm Safety Orientation, Agricultural Machinery Safeguarding, Seasonal Agricultural Workers Health and Safety Orientation, and a suite of eight courses on Dairy Worker Safety Orientation, among others.

 
“Refreshing our online farm safety courses reflects CASA’s commitment to helping enhance safety across Canada’s agricultural sector through accessible, practical education,” says Sandra Miller, CASA’s executive director. “The updated training module enables individuals to build critical safety skills and stay current with best practices to create safer agricultural workplaces across Canada.”

 
Recognizing farmers’ busy schedules, each course is available on demand, offering convenient 24/7 access to training at a participant’s own pace, with a certificate of completion provided at the end of each learning experience.
 

The relaunch of CASA’s online farm safety courses coincides with BeGrainSafe Week, taking place August 10-16, 2026, which raises awareness about the dangers associated with working around grain. To help heighten safety around grain and mitigate entrapment incidents, CASA’s Introduction to Grain Handling and Storage Hazards training is always available free of charge for all individuals.
 

“Farm safety can’t be just a one-time lesson. Rather, ongoing education is essential for helping farmers, farm workers, and farm families adapt to new challenges, reinforce safe practices, and, ultimately, prevent injuries,” says Miller.
 

To celebrate CASA’s refreshed online safety training, participants who complete a course before September 30 will be entered into a draw for a $100 gift card.
