CanadaGAP shares AGM highlights

The Annual General Meeting of CanAgPlus, the not-for-profit corporation that owns and operates the CanadaGAP Program, was held virtually on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

 

CanadaGAP program participants elected one new and three returning directors to the CanAgPlus Board. They are:

 

-  Denis Desjardins, Desjardins Seed Farm Ltd.

 

-  Ian McDonell, Snow Road Solutions 

 

-  Beth Pattillo, Noggins Corner Farm II Ltd. 

 

-  Julian Sarraino, Fresh Taste Produce

 

Newly elected Board members will serve a two-year term through to December 2025. Biographies of CanAgPlus Directors are posted at: www.canadagap.ca/history/governance/

  

Two presentations were provided during the AGM: 2023 CanadaGAP Program Highlights and All About the CanadaGAP Technical Advisory Committee. These presentations as well as the corporation’s financial statements are accessible from the ‘Members Only’ section on the CanadaGAP website or directly from the office. Any member may obtain a copy upon request.

A hard copy can be obtained upon request from the CanadaGAP office. Members are requested to report any errors or omissions to the meeting secretary. 

 

Immediately prior to the 2023 AGM, CanadaGAP hosted an award ceremony for the Sheri Nielson Auditor Recognition Award. The 2023 awards were presented to two highly deserving CanadaGAP auditors: Isabelle Martineau, serving Québec/French-speaking members and Jovanna Mitich serving English-speaking members.
