The Canadian Centre for Food Integrity (CCFI) announces updates to its Board of Directors following its 2026 Annual General Assembly.
CCFI confirms the re-election of Adele Buettner and Darlene McBain, each for an additional three-year term. Their continued leadership and commitment will support the organization’s ongoing efforts to build public trust in Canada’s food system.
CCFI also extends its sincere gratitude to Michael Graydon, who has served on the Board since 2023, and Jean-Marc Ruest, who has contributed his expertise since 2018, as they conclude their terms.
CCFI is also pleased to welcome Michi Furuya Chang, as a newly elected Director to the Board. Michi serves as executive vice president, Public Policy, Regulatory Affairs and Head of Division Strategy at Food, Health, and Consumer Products of Canada (FHCP). In this role, she works closely with manufacturing member organizations to bring industry expertise and insights into public policy and regulatory discussions, advocating for evidence- and science-based solutions that support a competitive and innovative business environment.
With more than 20 years of experience spanning government public health, the private sector, and the not-for-profit space, including roles with Sobeys Incorporated and Kraft Foods, Michi brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to the Board. She currently serves on the government’s Agile Regulations Roundtable and is vice-chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Supply Chain Food Safety Coalition.
