The Canadian Federation of Agriculture (CFA) will be moving forward with a new leader at the helm of the organization for the next two years as Keith Currie was acclaimed as the new president at the organization’s 2023 Annual General Meeting in Ottawa on March 6-7. 

Currie, a Collingwood-area hay and sweet corn farmer and a long-time advocate for the agriculture industry at both the provincial and federal levels, brings more than 30 years of experience to his new role.

Mary Robinson, who steps down after a four-year tenure, will continue as a board member for the World Farmers’ Organisation.  

Joining the CFA executive is Todd Lewis, first vice-president and former president of the Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan (APAS) and Pierre Lampron, second vice-president and currently president with the Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC).
