Jenique Kennedy is the newest member of the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers’ Association (OFVGA) staff team, joining the organization as a policy advisor.
A graduate of the University of Toronto, she also holds a Master of Public Service degree from the University of Waterloo. Most recently, she served the Ministry of Infrastructure as a policy analyst.
“I’ve always been interested in working for a not-for-profit organization,” she says. “I’ve spent most of my career in the Ontario Public Service and would like to apply my government experience to strengthen OFVGA’s mandate across government and the public sector.”
Prior to the Ministry of Infrastructure, she was a policy advisor with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services and a senior program advisor with Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
She has a strong interest in the environment and public infrastructure and looks forward to applying her knowledge to OFVGA’s advocacy on behalf of growers in areas of property, environment and conservation.
“We are pleased to welcome Jenique and her skills and expertise to the OFVGA as we continue to expand and strengthen our government relations and outreach work with government and other stakeholders on behalf of fruit and vegetable growers,” says OFVGA executive director Alison Robertson.
Jenique Kennedy becomes the fourth member of OFVGA’s policy team, which also includes Gordon Stock (senior public relations & government relations advisor), Chris Duyvelshoff (policy advisor, crop protection) and Stefan Larrass (policy advisor, labour and safety nets).
