North American Potato Storage Organization announces central committee

The North American Potato Storage Organization (NAPSO) has announced a significant milestone in its journey – the official establishment of its Central Committee. This crucial step marks a pivotal moment for NAPSO as it seeks to advance its mission of promoting excellence in potato storage and handling practices across North America.

 

The Central Committee is composed of a diverse group of industry experts, each bringing invaluable knowledge and experience to the organization. They include:

  • Chandra Singh, RDAR Research Chair in Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Director of the Advanced Post-Harvest Technology Centre (APHTC)

  • Kutay Ozturk, Assistant Extension Professor of Potato Pathology, University of Maine Cooperative Extension
  •  
  • Darin Gibson, President, Gaia Consulting
  •  
  • Travis Blacker, VP of Research and Industry Relations, Idaho Potato Commission (IPC)

  • Victoria Stamper, General Manager, United Potato Growers of Canada (UPGC)

  • Andrew Lorimar, Director of Exclusive Varietal Programs, EarthFresh

  • Steve Moorehead, Director of Agronomy, Little Potato Company
