The Ontario Produce Marketing Association (OPMA) has selected Rebecca Harris as the new president. With more than 15 years of association management experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the role. She starts on January 29, 2024.
Her background includes serving as the executive director at the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Toronto Chapter and the executive director at the Ontario Association of Residences Treating Youth.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual) degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master of Arts Degree in art history from York University. Her commitment to excellence and best practices in the sector is demonstrated by her attainment of the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential.
Her specialties encompass leadership, board relations, policy development, advocacy, program management, membership management, and communications. She is known for her innovative approaches to not-for-profit management, governance, social marketing and technology.
“We are confident that Rebecca's versatile leadership skills and dedication to amplifying the impact of not-for-profit organizations will guide our organization towards continued success,” said Adam Donikian, OPMA chair.
OPMA thanks interim president, Michelle Broom, for overseeing a smooth transition and guiding the association over the last few months.
