Belchim Canada has received a PMRA label expansion for Diplomat fungicide that includes application for phomopsis and downy mildew in grapes, powdery mildew in blackberries, loganberries and raspberries, and control of phomopsis and leather rot in strawberries.
The application specifications outline a zero-day pre-harvest interval which makes Diplomat a flexible, effective tool to expand grower’s options to control difficult diseases.
Jouke Sypkes, product manager for Belchim Canada noted, “This will be of particular interest to grape growers across Canada who can use Diplomat as a tool to fight phomopsis and downy mildew as well as botrytis and powdery mildew with one effective product. Diplomat has a unique mode of action and is a great product to manage fungicide resistance and eliminate late season residues while allowing growers to implement a bio-rational disease control program.”
