A preview of CPMA’s New Products Showcase

.
.

Fresh Week is here! The Canadian Produce Marketing Association Convention and Trade Show will be a beehive of activity April 28-30, 2026 at Metro Toronto’s Convention Centre. Count your steps! There are 700 booths to see and 330 companies represented on the trade show floor.

The New Product Showcase is one of the highlights, pointing to trends in produce and packaging. One example is BC Fresh’s launch of cauliflower florets. Brian Faulkner, vp business development and marketing, explains that this unique cauliflower program is vertically integrated through a single British Columbia family farm. Crops are transplanted with on-farm-raised seedlings to ensure uniformity. Harvested heads are processed in a dedicated, certified on-farm facility. Packaging uses proprietary atmosphere-control film, a technology that BCFresh pioneered in 2017 to optimize respiration and shelf life.
