John Jamieson takes on CEO role

John Jamieson, Prince Edward Island’s former deputy minister of agriculture and fisheries, has been named president and CEO of the Canadian Centre for Food Integrity (CCFI). He is well-known to farmers, having served as the executive director of the Prince Edward Island Federation of Agriculture.

 

Jamieson is a professional agrologist and certified nutrient management planner and sits on both the Farm and Food Care Foundation board of directors, and Dalhousie University's Faculty of Agriculture advisory committee.  He begins his new post on June 17. 

 

The Centre thanks outgoing president Crystal Mackay for her valuable leadership as the inaugural president.

 

CCFI is a non-profit organization that helps Canada's food system earn trust by coordinating research, resources, dialogue and training, according to its website.
