Trevor Jones, an MPP representing Chatham-Kent-Leamington, is the newest Ontario minister of agriculture, food and agribusiness. He replaces Rob Flack who moves to the ministry of municipal affairs and housing.
Jones was previously a town councillor in Leamington, Ontario, the epicentre of 4,100 acres of greenhouse tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. He is well versed in agricultural issues, locally and provincially.
The Conservative government of Premier Doug Ford will return to the legislature on April 14.
