The Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) will be conducting an education and inspection campaign for the agriculture sector until March 31, 2027. Focus areas will include but are not limited to:

• -  Maintenance of equipment
•  
• -  Machine guarding
•  
• -  Operation of farming equipment (such as tractors and forklifts)
•  
• -  Electrical hazards and lock out/tag out
•  
• -  Falls from heights including falls from equipment
•  
• -  Prevention of heat stress

To help you prepare, WSPS is offering a free, interactive, 90-minute webinar, co-hosted by MLITSD, on April 9, 2026. It will provide you with an overview of the campaign, including information on what to expect during an inspection, employer obligations, measures that can be taken, and resources available to assist with compliance.
