CKF has partnered with Belmark Inc and The Fruitist to support a Canadian retail trial with blueberries supplied in an Earthcycle home-compostable, recyclable package.
- Through its partnership with Numerator, the Ontario Produce Marketing Association is sharing insights and trends in Ontario consumer behaviour. Shopping frequency was up 1.8 per cent in Q1 2023 while spending per trip was down three per cent.
- More than two-thirds of all paper generated by Ontario households is recycled through Ontario’s Blue Box program. Recovered paper fibres are used to produce new paper packaging products – i.e. boxes and cartons.
- Growers of apples, cherries, grapes, raspberries, blueberries and hazelnuts in British Columbia are eligible for the new program, valued at $15M.
- A new tool is available to Ontario pumpkin and squash growers to scout for pests and pollinator populations. Called SCOUT IPPM, it will be available for download on July 3, 2023.
