On July 22, 2024, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) launched a consultation on a new approach to modernizing Canadian fresh fruit and vegetable grade standards. You are invited to share your thoughts on proposed options for developing and maintaining Canadian fresh fruit and vegetable grade standards by October 20, 2024. 

A new approach could allow grade standards to be modernized more efficiently, supporting trade and innovation.
