Koppert is committed to locally producing core products, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and local job creation. For this reason, the company has chosen the Leamington, Ontario area for the first Canadian-operated production facility.
This production facility is dedicated and focused on supporting valued customers and for the needs of one of the company’s most important “partners with nature,” Bombus impatiens. Natupol Hives are ideally suited for greenhouse pollination and have provided premium, reliable support to growers across Canada for more than 30 years.
This facility not only strengthens production capabilities but also deepens roots in a community known for its entrepreneurial spirit, agricultural leadership, and skilled workforce. In alignment with Koppert's environmental and social values, the facility is designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating energy efficient systems, reduced waste practices and providing close to market accessibility.
The company was founded in 1967 by Jan Koppert, a Dutch grower with a clear vision; the world needed an alternative for chemical pesticides. He was the first to find a natural solution to combat the pest in his crop. He set in motion a major transformation towards sustainable agriculture.
