A well-known figure in Niagara’s grape and wine industry has died. Michèle Bosc passed on January 10. An engaged and passionate marketer for Chateau des Charmes winery, she tweeted on December 31: “Thank you for sharing all of the ways that you enjoyed our wines over the holiday season - it is truly the best gift that we could receive. Cheers to 2019!”
Michèle and her husband, Paul-André Bosc carried on the legacy of French winegrower, Paul Bosc Sr who founded Chateau des Charmes in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario in 1978.
Matthias Oppenlaender, chair, Grape Growers of Ontario, commented: “Michèle was very involved in the Chateau des Charmes winery but also as a driving force in promoting VQA wines from 100% Ontario-grown grapes. She and her husband were carrying on the legacy of the Bosc family.”
