For farmers, having access to accurate soil information is essential for making informed decisions about crop selection, farm management, and land stewardship.

Soils Spatial Search includes data on slope, soil texture, CLI rating, stoniness, drainage type, soil hydrologic group, and drainage design code.

The Ontario Soils GeoHub also features innovative new pilot digital soil maps for the Ottawa area. These maps allow farmers to view important soil properties such as pH levels, total organic carboncontent, cation exchange capacity and soil texture at different depths.

The Ontario Soils GeoHub will continue to grow with new soil data as it becomes available. Usersare encouraged to explore the site and see how these resources can support their operations, and to share feedback through the online form to help shape its future.
