BC apple growers will vote on a commission to regulate and market their apples.

Over the past five years, there has been ongoing discussion regarding the potential establishment of a commission to regulate the production and marketing of apples grown in British Columbia.

A recent survey of apple producers, conducted from March 15 to April 4, 2025, indicated support for such a commission. The survey results were shared with producers on April 22, 2025.

A vote of eligible BC apple producers will take place, with the voting

expected in June 2025. To ensure impartial administration, Elevate Consulting has been engaged to oversee the voting process and interpret the results. Elevate Consulting will communicate with apple producers about the vote soon.
