The past-president of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture and an esteemed leader of Prince Edward Island agriculture has been appointed to the Senate of Canada.

Scott Hodgins has been named to the newly created position of general manager to oversee day-to-day operations of Plant Products North America.

Most recently, Tesche was general manager of the Okanagan-Kootenay Sterile Insect Release Board. She takes over on March 4, 2024 from Glen Lucas after his 25-year tenure.

Beth Pattillo, a director on the CanAgPlus Board, was reappointed as committee chair.

Farm Management Canada has announced that Steve Funk is the 2023 recipient of the Wilson Loree Award. Recently retired, he’s been a leading authority on AgriStability and other business risk management programs in Canada.
