In the first year of the National Water Monitoring Program for Pesticides, 89 surface water sites were sampled across the country says Dr. Justine Taylor, CropLife Canada. More will be done in Ontario’s fruit and vegetable growing regions in 2023.
- Ontario minor use coordinator Josh Mosiondz says growers can continue to use their current tank mix practices during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
- Cevya fungicide is now registered for use on highbush and lowbush blueberries, strawberries, cucurbit vegetables, certain bulb and fruiting vegetables and lettuce.
- AZteroid FC 3.3 fungicide produced by Vive Crop Protection is now available in Canada. It’s labelled for in-furrow use.
- Labeled for in-furrow use on potatoes, AZteroid FC protects against black scurf, silver scurf and Rhizoctonia diseases.
