With a nationwide crop input shortage impacting producers, ADAMA Canada has secured additional MCPA to fulfill its market obligations for the 2022 crop year.
The Pest Management Regulatory Agency has approved an emergency use registration for Tough 600 EC herbicide for control of labelled weeds in carrots in numerous provinces in Canada. The registration is from May 1 to December 31, 2022.
The Pest Management Regulatory Agency has proposed to end use of the fungicide chlorothalonil which is commonly used in potato production. Fruit and Vegetable Growers of Canada are conducting a survey of in-field use to respond appropriately. Deadline is April 15, 2022.
This new fungicide will help growers fill a hole left by lost powdery mildew tools. Gatten inhibits the powdery mildew pathogen from absorbing nutrients from cherries and grapes, making it impossible for the pathogen to grow and expand.
This product is the first dual activity Baculovirus registered to combat codling moth and oriental fruit moth in pome and stone fruits according to registrant Andermatt Canada.
