The Canadian Produce Marketing Association has named 18 rising stars who will be participating in the Passion for Produce program at the annual convention and trade show in Toronto.
The Fruit & Vegetable Growers of Canada honoured three award winners at its 100th anniversary banquet in Vancouver. Winner of the Doug Connery Award was Deb Hart, vice-chair of the seed potato sub-committee.
Keith Currie will helm the Canadian Federation of Agriculture for the next two years. He served as president of the Ontario Federation from 2016-2020 and will now move into the president’s chair at the national level.
The 2022 market season was acknowledged at the recent Farmers’ Markets Ontario meetings, with a tip of the hat to manager Jaime Grant of Innisfil Farmers’ Market.
