British Columbia is increasing the provincial minimum wage rate from $15.65 to $16.75 effective June 1, 2023More information can be found on the Government of BC website.

 

This rate applies to both Canadian and foreign workers. Employers submitting Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs) to Service Canada for workers arriving in June should use the new minimum wage rate on the application. 

 

Minimum piece rates for harvesting will increase on January 1, 2024. Refer to the government website for specific rates.
