The Pest Management Regulatory Agency has announced revisions to the use of chlorothalonil, the active ingredient in fungicides such as Bravo and Echo. The number of applications for potatoes, for example, will be reduced from 12 to three per year.
The European Union has voted to ban all outdoor uses of neonicotinoids, prior to a legal decision to be rendered May 17th. Both Bayer and Syngenta challenged the 2013 partial ban at the European Court of Justice.
