Dennis Roth is joining the crop protection company as area business manager based in Tavistock, Ontario. Drew Thompson will become the company’s full-time technical sales agronomist, covering Ontario, Québec and Atlantic Canada.
Two of the seven 2023 inductees hail from horticulture. They are John Bragg, a dominant force in the evolution of the wild blueberry industry in the Maritimes and Robert Irving, who established Cavendish Farms in 1980, a frozen food plant in PEI that created a local opportunity for processing and value-added agriculture.
Value Chain Management International has contributed to stronger value chains under leadership of co-founder and CEO, Dr. Martin Gooch. The team has produced papers on topics such as food waste, food security, food packaging and low carbon in food production.
Colin Chapdelaine is the 2023-2024 chair of the Canadian Produce Marketing Association. A veteran of the produce industry, he is currently president of berry operations at Star Produce.

Darien Temprile becomes the first executive director of the Canadian Grapevine Certification Network. She has recently completed a Masters in Business Administration from McMaster University, adding to her four years of practical experience in the grape sector.
