In this latest video from the Canadian Horticultural Council (CHC) Nirwal Dhaliwal, an apple grower from British Columbia talks about how important international agricultural workers are to him. He has developed a real bond with them because they live close to each other and work with each other every day.
The workers work hard, are reliable, and are happy to be supporting their families. “For us to have Canadian food, and affordable food, we need programs like the Temporary Foreign Worker Program and the Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program,” Dhaliwal says. “It’s a win-win situation.”
The CHC has created a series of videos depicting the essential role of agricultural workers to horticultural operations across the country. To view the latest video, click here. https://bit.ly/2VrIPbM
